Jim Stigman: About

Jim Stigman specializes in assisting individuals with personal and business financial strategies. Currently, Jim, also known as James Stigman, serves as the President for TruMoney Designs. TruMoney Designs focuses on helping families and individuals eliminate debt, transition into the college funding years, protect their money for retirement, and improve their financial choices throughout their lifetimes.

Jim Stigman’s first day in business was on the tragic day of September 11th when two hijacked planes flew into the World Trade Center’s twin towers in New York City. Since the collapse of the twin towers, the economy in the United States has suffered greatly, affecting the financial confidence and security of its citizens. Jim Stigman has dedicated himself to helping his clients feel more confident and educated about their choices and their financial futures.

Jim also currently serves as President of College Planning Team, a college planning initiative in the Twin Cities. Through an affiliation with Professional Education Services, the nation’s leading education consulting company, Jim helps families beat the high cost of college while protecting their retirement savings.

Jim Stigman’s clients range from business owners, families, individuals, and retirees. Jim understands that his clients require financial assistance specific to their backgrounds and future financial goals. This is why Jim spends time learning about each client individually in order to establish a plan suited to his or her needs. For example, when assisting families with college funding strategies, Jim seeks to help them uncover free sources of money for college and solve the cash flow crunch.

From 1996 to 2001, Jim Stigman worked for St. Cloud State University as the Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. Jim was in charge of growing the alumni base and garnering support for the school from the university’s alumni, students, parents, faculty/staff, and friends. Jim served as the President and Co-founder of Summit Strategy Group, Inc for nine years in which he specialized in retirement planning, insurance, investments, and college funding strategies. In 2009, Jim began TruMoney Designs and developed a 5 step process known as the MoneyTruth Method which helps individuals develop financial strategies to protect their current and future earnings.
